A relational approach to the chakra system, with the heart at its centre.

What if the chakras were never meant to be worked with in isolation?
Traditionally, chakra practices often focus on one energy centre at a time — grounding the root, opening the heart, finding the voice through the throat — or work progressively upwards through the seven chakras from root to crown. But what happens when we begin to explore the relationships between them?
Heart ↔ Root: Relationships can feel unsafe or unstable. Love may become tied to security, creating fear of abandonment, difficulty trusting, clinging to connection, or withdrawing to avoid being hurt.
Throat ↔ Solar Plexus: We may struggle to speak from a place of confidence and personal power. We might silence ourselves to keep the peace, find it difficult to express our needs and boundaries, or use our voice to control or dominate when we feel powerless.
Third Eye ↔ Sacral: We may struggle to connect our intuition with our feelings, creativity and desires. We might overthink what we feel, distrust our inner knowing, or find it difficult to turn creative impulses into something meaningful.
The Cross-Chakra Method is a new way of exploring the chakra system — not as seven separate energy centres, but as an interconnected network of relationships. Instead of travelling upwards from root to crown, we work across the chakra system — creating connections between energy centres and exploring what becomes possible through those relationships. A shift in one centre doesn't happen in isolation. It changes its relationship with the rest of the system. An entirely different way of working with the chakras. This has grown from my years of experience as a yoga teacher, sound therapist and energy worker, and from a simple observation that has become central to my work: when we create the right conditions, things can begin to shift.
Yoga is an extraordinarily intelligent and sophisticated system for understanding the human being, yet in the modern West we often encounter only a small part of it. Asana — the physical practice — barely scratches the surface. Beneath it lies a much deeper exploration of breath, energy, awareness, sound, meditation and the subtle energetic body.
Through my own practice and teaching, I have become increasingly interested in the body's natural capacity for change when the right conditions are created. Using intention, meditation, mudra and mantra, the Cross-Chakra Method offers a framework for exploring the relationships between different aspects of ourselves and allowing new patterns to emerge.
At the foundation of the method is the heart — the central hub from which we begin to explore these relationships.
