A gong bath is a deeply relaxing alternative therapy experience in which the vibrations of the gong help you switch off and enter an altered state. This can assist in accessing the unconscious part of the brain, where processing and healing can occur, as well as induce a deep, restful sleep.

How can it help?
The vibrations of the gong initiate a slowing down of brain waves from the normal beta state, associated with waking consciousness, to the theta state, typically experienced during sleep or deep meditation. In this theta state, we store our memories, personal history, and deeper sense of self. Accessing this state can assist in understanding and processing trauma and other factors that may be impacting our daily lives.

The harmonics of the gong are intentionally tuned to healing frequencies, capable of realigning our own frequencies. This may create an internal massage-like sensation, similar to how a bowl of water responds next to a loudspeaker. Considering that our bodies are approximately 60 -70% water, the effects can extend throughout our entire being.
Sleeping and resting play a vital role in the healing process, and it is natural for your body to signal a need for rest during the gong bath session. Everyone's experience with this therapy is unique. You may find yourself drifting off to sleep, feeling in a state between wakefulness and slumber, or sensing the vibrations in different parts of your body. It is not uncommon for colours, patterns, memories, and visual sensations to emerge.

'I've been to three of Sara's sound baths and each has been a different yet incredible experience. Sara created a really safe space, so I felt able to lose myself in the sounds, particularly her beautiful singing and the intense 'gonging'
(this isn't just an ordinary bong of a gong!). Her passion for what she is doing is clear, and she is genuinely interested in people's experiences, whatever they may be.'
