SPRING EQUINOX.png

The start of each season offers us a blank slate on which we can project our vision for the next three months. Spring, with its longer, brighter days and its role as a symbol of renewal and growth, feels like an especially favourable time for this. It's associated with new beginnings, a time to plant seeds of intention and watch them flourish in the months ahead. This event marks this special time with a gathering that incorporates meditation, hatha yoga, and a sacred drum sound bath to connect deeply with the equinox's energy, embracing balance and nurturing gratitude for the abundance of life's possibilities.

The equinox represents a moment of perfect balance between light and dark, day and night. This balance is often interpreted as symbolic of the need for harmony within ourselves and in the world around us.

As winter fades and nature begins to awaken, the equinox symbolises renewal and the cyclical nature of life. It's a time for shedding the old and embracing the new, both in nature and in our personal lives.

In many cultures, the equinox is associated with fertility rites and rituals celebrating the abundance of the earth. It's a time for planting seeds, both literal and metaphorical, and nurturing new beginnings.

It's a time for introspection, growth, and setting intentions for the months ahead.

In many traditions, the equinox is celebrated as a victory of light over darkness. This can symbolise overcoming challenges, finding hope in difficult times, and embracing the inherent goodness and potential for growth within ourselves and the world.

Above all, the spring equinox is a reminder of our connection to the natural world and the cycles of life. It's a time to honour and respect the earth, to appreciate its beauty and abundance, and to live in harmony with its rhythms.
