During a recent visit to Greece, including Athens and the ancient archaeological sites of Delphi and Mycenae, I was captivated by these sacred places and the elements of what remains and what has been lost. In particular, the small ancient clay goddess effigies and Cycladic sculptures, with their simplicity and symbolism, evoked in me a profound connection to ritual and transformation. Inspired by these forms, I am exploring themes of femininity and ancestral creativity through sculptures, drawings, and performances. I am also investigating how to weave my sound therapy, music, yoga, and meditation practices into this exploration, reclaiming our lost ancestral histories and finding ways—both real and imagined—to revive and integrate them into our modern lives.
